REHE Curriculum and Policy – September 2026
At Sladefield Infant School, we are proud to introduce our updated Healthy Relationships Health Education (REHE) curriculum and policy from September 2026.
Over the past year, we have worked with our school community to ensure our approach reflects the needs and values of our families. We have held two parent consultations and carefully considered all feedback received.Â
This work builds on a strong, long-standing partnership with Thornton Primary School. For over six years, we have collaborated to design and refine a curriculum that is age-appropriate, inclusive and meaningful for our children. Together, we are committed to ensuring that children receive consistent messages and support as they grow through both schools.
Our RSHE curriculum is carefully planned to:
- Support children’s wellbeing and emotional development
- Help them build positive relationships
- Keep them safe, both in the real world and online
- Complement and enhance the wider learning and values of our school
We believe that by working in partnership with parents and our wider community, we can give children the knowledge and confidence they need while respecting the views and experiences of our families.
We encourage all parents to read our full RSHE policy and supporting documents available on this page.
Draft RHE Policy
Please find our draft RSHE policy below. This document will be presented to the Governing Body on 30th June for discussion and final ratification.
We welcome parents and carers to read through the policy and understand how our approach supports children’s wellbeing, relationships and safety
